Lock framerate question

Hello everyone

Is it possible to lock my framerate in bfh? I have a feeling it wil make the game run smoother or will this not be the case?

It is possible.
Head into your Documents folder and open Battlefield Heroes folder.
Open video.con with notepad. Add this line to it.

game.lockfps 150
(or whatever frame rate you want if not 150)

If you want to see your frame rate in game, add this line to it.

renderer.drawfps 1
(It'll be shown/seen in upper left corner of game)

I was worried we might get flagged for cheating when altering any game files. I thought it might be possible to change the framerate in the game files, but did not want to mess with any checksum the Revive team had set up when we start up the launcher. So I never looked into it.

I limit frames mostly due to the knowledge there is absolutely no point in running the game at 300-500 FPS, that... and the coil whine my card likes to torment me with at those frame rates.

--oops, that was supposed to be an edit, not a new post. =/
